Couple Counselling

Couple Counselling is for couples or individuals who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship.

Relationships go through many stages and periods of stress, among them:

- Starting to live together

- Marriage

- Births and parenthood

- Strains caused by events such as redundancy or affairs

- Death of a parent

- Ageing

Any one of these can bring up anxieties for one or both members of the partnership. It can be a time when one or both partners feel misunderstood or isolated. Marital therapy can help you to explore these areas and help you communicate more effectively.

Our therapists have wide experiences of working with couples. We can help you to identify repetitive patterns and make changes that can benefit the individual and the relationship.

It can also help couples, who would like to separate, to do so with understanding and to be able to move forward in a positive way.

Often patterns from the past can get tangled up in a couple relationship and although many couples recognise they are unhappy, they find it difficult to stand back and understand why things are the way they are.

Marital therapy can help couples with this in a non-judgemental way, and many couples have found it be of great benefit.
